About Us
Wick YFC recently celebrated our 80th year, having originally started as a Calf Club in 1936! We are the longest running club in Wales. We are now proud to be part of the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Club with over 25,000 members in the UK alone, one of the largest youth organisations in the UK. Within YFC, friends are made for life! We are aimed at 10-26 year olds from all backgrounds whether farming or not.

You Don’t Have To Be A Farmer To Be In Young Farmers!

Our Club is organised by our members, for our members. Everyone has a voice in what we do! Excellent leadership and guidance is always on hand if and when required from our verified Club Leaders.

There are so many opportunities to develop and enhance new skills as well as competing locally and nationally in competitions such as Drama, Public Speaking, Stock Judging, Cooking, Craft, Shearing, Singing, Dancing, Bricklaying, Carpentry to name a few. Whether you’re looking to enhance life skills or boost confidence, Wick YFC can give you that opportunity.

You don’t however have to compete, we have fun events throughout the year including laser tag, trampolining, crazy golf, wet n’ wild, canoeing, skiing, pony trekking to name a few.

With Wick YFC you’ll gain opportunities to travel the world with working or adventure holidays. If you’re thinking of a future in rural or agricultural affairs there’s many opportunities to develop or enhance your experience. However, YFC offers so much more. Our Annual County Rally Day is enormous fun when we compete with the 6 other Clubs in our County. The winners go on to compete at the National finals held at the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells, a pinnacle event in the YFC calendar.

We usually meet on at Wick Village Hall on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm but are often out and about so have a look at our calendar or feel free to contact us.
